Pentecost
2:1Now when the day of Pentecost had come, they were all with one accord in one place. 2:2Suddenly there came from the sky a sound like the rushing of a mighty wind, and it filled all the house where they were sitting. 2:3 Tongues like fire appeared and were distributed to them, and one sat on each of them. 2:4They were all filled with the Holy Spirit, and began to speak with other languages, as the Spirit gave them the ability to speak. 2:5Now there were dwelling in Jerusalem Jews, devout men, from every nation under the sky. 2:6 When this sound was heard, the multitude came together, and were bewildered, because everyone heard them speaking in his own language. 2:7 They were all amazed and marveled, saying to one another, "Behold, aren't all these who speak Galileans? 2:8 How do we hear, everyone in our own native language? 2:9 Parthians, Medes, Elamites, and people from Mesopotamia, Judea, Cappadocia, Pontus, Asia, 2:10Phrygia, Pamphylia, Egypt, the parts of Libya around Cyrene, visitors from Rome, both Jews and proselytes, 2:11Cretans and Arabians: we hear them speaking in our languages the mighty works of God!" 2:12 They were all amazed, and were perplexed, saying one to another, "What does this mean?" 2:13Others, mocking, said, "They are filled with new wine." Acts 2:1-13

A Heart for God Lord search my heart and try my reins and see if there might be; Anything that needs removed and is not pleasing to thee! Cleanse my heart from any sin that might be found hidden there; Let the desire of my heart be to please only you is my humble prayer! To have all the wealth that this world holds and all the pleasures it might bring, Would leave this heart an empty shell while in you I have found everything! Lord, only you can satisfy the thirst inside my soul; To be all that you'd have me to be is the desire of my heart and the best and ultimate goal! Refresh and renew my heart O Lord Let your oil of healing upon me be freely poured; Let the love that you give be my reward. Helen Johnson " May God pour His love out upon you!" |

Let us worship our precious Lord and Savior together
and give glory and honor to Him
who alone is worthy of our praise!
Let us show our love to Him in our willingness
to serve Him in whatever task He has for us!

Lead Me Holy Spirit Precious Holy Spirit, flow through my heart today; Lead me and direct my path in faithfulness I pray. Let my mouth speak words of wisdom from my Father in heaven above; Fill my heart with His compassion, His mercy and His love. Help me walk the straight and narrow which will lead to heavens shore; Let your river of living water through my soul and spirit pour. Reaching out in love to others that they too will find their way, To the source of their salvation, whose love will never fade away. That I might give encouragement and understanding too; That I'll be an example of what our God can do! So many lost sheep that have been led astray, Lost but always searching for a better way; Let me be that one who can help them to find, Our Lord and Savior so loving and kind!
